SENDsational Learning is an independent practice providing early developmental support to children and families within the North Yorkshire, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland area.
We focus on providing a small steps approach to learning for children who have an early diagnosis of Special Educational Needs & Disabilities & for children who are showing signs of developmental delay.
Our vision is to support and provide parents and care givers with the knowledge and tools to be able to work on their child's development.
We believe learning can be enhanced significantly with the right support, environment, consistency and stimulation.
By working together we can help your child reach their full potential.
With over 22 years of clinical experience we support families and professionals. Intervention can be offered at home and in nurseries, whichever approach best meets your child's individual needs.

What We Offer
Early Intervention
Early intervention is key when it comes to encouraging any child's development. When a child has a diagnosis of SEND or when a child is showing signs of developmental delay, Early Intervention is even more essential.
SENDsational Learning offers support for
- Children age 6 months - 4 years.
- Those who have an early diagnosis of special educational needs.
- Those who are showing signs of developmental delay.
- Other agencies such as child minders and nurseries, to help them meet the needs of children who have SEND in their care.

Our Expertise
Kerry is the founder of SENDsational Learning. She is an Early Years SEND Practitioner who is passionate about providing high quality learning experiences for children living with special educational needs and disabilities.
She has over 22 years experience working with children who have SEND.
Her background is working within Speech & Language Therapy for the NHS. She has completed further training in Early Years Sensory & Multiple Needs at Birmingham University and has additional training on various therapy interventions such as Makaton Sign, Intensive Interaction, Hanen's More Than Words, Derbyshire Language Scheme and Inclusive Technology.
Kerry has attended further training with The Downs Syndrome Association, RNIB and many other organisations.
She has completed The National Portage Workshop and remains involved with the Association.
SENDsational Learning are proud members of the National Portage Association, giving reassurance to families that their child is receiving quality care.
Kerry has a great deal of practical experience working with children who have a range of SEND and Autism and is very much looking forward to getting to know you and your child.

Consultation
Group Intervention
Consultation
An initial consultation will be arranged for us to meet you and your child. This session is a play based session which is usually carried out at home. We will observe and assess your child to identify their early learning goals.
Here we will make a plan for Intervention.
The session lasts approximately 1 hour.
Price £125.00 including Portag

Price £125.00 including Portage Best Practice Progress Record.
This booklet acts as a working document which can be used to assess and monitor progress over the period of time SENDsational Learning is supporting your child.
£90.00 without Portage Best Practice Progress Record.
Regular review consultations are encouraged to periodically monitor your child’s progress. These sessions run the same way as an initial consultation and are priced the same.

Price £60.00 per session for approximately 45 minutes.
Sessions can be arranged to suit you and your child i.e. weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

Intervention Block
A four week block of intervention to work on your child's early learning goals. Sessions can take place at home or in your child's nursery, if appropriate. Sessions can be arranged to suit you and your child i.e. weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Sessions last approximately 45 minutes. This allows for some 1:1 work time with your child and time to discuss any issues you may have.
Price £220.00 for a four week block of intervention.
Includes a personalised learning journal with photos from our sessions & activity ideas for follow up at home.
Modelling Sessions
Single modelling sessions can be arranged to demonstrate activities to target early learning goals.
Priced at £55 for a 45 minute session.
*These are not intervention sessions the focus is on sharing information with other agencies involved with your child's care.

Our SENDsational Discovery Groups follow a playgroup style approach where your child can enjoy a number of play based activities targeting their early learning goals.
Some structured activities are also carried out such as circle time & story time.

Our SENDsational Discovery Groups follow a playgroup style approach where your child can enjoy a number of play based activities targeting their early learning goals.
Some structured activities are also carried out such as circle time & story time.
Our Discovery Groups not only encourage children’s social skills, they are also a great way for parents to meet other families in similar situations and can provide great support networks.
Groups are carried out in central locations and run on a weekly basis for four weeks. At the end of the block your child will receive a personalised learning journal with photos of what they’ve achieved.
Price £200 for a four week block.
*Please note an initial consultation needs to be carried out before attending our Discovery Groups. Minimum/maximum numbers apply and waiting lists may run during busy periods.
Support for Early Years Settings
How Can We Help?
SENDsational Learning can offer training and support for nurseries and other childcare settings.
We cover a range of topics such as, promoting inclusive practice. Demonstrating how best to meet the needs of children who have SEND within a nursery environment. How to adapt activities to make them sensory and so much more!
Offering regular SENDsational sessions in your setting such as SENDsational Circle Time & Story Time activities.
